Labor Day Chicken Dinner
The Knights of Columbus will sell our famous charcoal-grilled chicken dinners in conjunction with the Saint Mary of Sorrows Labor Day Family Picnic at the parish center on Monday, September 5th, 2022. This is a continuation of a rich tradition of annually celebrating Labor Day in the parish going back to the 1890s.
Meals will be offered for consumption onsite or take-away for consumption at home. Each dinner meal will include one delicious charcoal-grilled half chicken, a half ear of fresh corn on the cob, a container of tasty coleslaw, a couple of savory cookies for dessert, a plastic cutlery set, condiments, and napkin, and your choice of a soft drink or bottled water.
The dinners, which will cost $11.00 each, will be available for walk up picnic customers starting at 11:30 am.
Dinners for take-away patrons may be picked up at the front of the parish center between 1:30 and 2:30 pm. All vehicles should enter the parish center parking lot using the access lane closest to Robinson Secondary School off of Sideburn Road, and subsequently exit back onto Sideburn Road using the access lane closest to Zion Drive.
We will glad to accept donations of canned goods to help re-stock the Parish food pantry.
