Council Members –
We, the Officers of Council 8600, are committed to support our
Council in making this fraternal year the best by surpassing the
membership recruitment efforts from last fraternal year, and by
retaining all members we can.
A growing membership is the key to keeping a Council strong; it
is the lifeblood of our Order. Our recruitment theme for this
year is; “Recruit a Member – it’s a Daily Effort”.
With our strong and active Membership Plan we will have a
stronger and more vibrant Council. Recruiting new
members brings in new ideas, new energy and new growth for our
Council. Retaining those members builds the
character of the Council and solidifies our programs. By
coordinating our efforts we will Revitalize and
bring new energy to our Council.
The Council’s challenge this year is to recruit a net 36 new or
reactivated members. To do this we need your help. It is
imperative that each Knight recruit a new member this year.
Look around your neighborhood, among your friends, and the men
seated around you at mass. If you do not see them wearing a
Knights of Columbus badge, invite them to become one. Give them
a Knights Membership form 100, have them complete it when you
give it to them, after it is signed by the proposed member and
you, turn it in at the next Knights meeting, or drop it at the
Church office. After you drop it off, we request you notify us
of the completed form by sending an email to us, we will pick up
the form, and forward it to our Admissions Chair, PGK Gerry
Hovan.
I
thank you in advance for taking an active part in recruiting for
the Knights.
