were read for the last two meetings and approved.

ADMISSION COMMITTEE:

Obuchowski presented an application of transfer for Richard R.
Cardenas.
Voted on and passed.
8. GRAND KNIGHT’S
REPORT:
GRAND KNIGHT REPORTED.
Reviewed Fr. Bashista’s request for transportation assistance for altar
servers on Jan. 7th to Seminarian Basketball Tournament at
St. Leo’s.
Jan 7th – State Meeting in Richmond
Jan 8th – Youth BB Free Throw Contest at Holy Spirit
Jan 14th – Hurricane Relief building project at Nativity
(9-3) and Spaghetti Dinner
Jan 15th – Pancakes
Jan 17th – First Degree
Jan 7th – Highway Cleanup
Jan 23rd – Right to Life March
Jan 29th – Polish Night and Regional BB Free Throw Contest
(State on March 11th)
9. READING OF BILLS AND CORRESPONDENCE:
We received a copy
of the Apostle, a newsletter for the Youth Apostles Institute in McLean.
State of VA adopt a highway application was received.

11. TREASURER’S REPORT:
Reported last half
of 2005 deposits exceeded $68K with checks for slightly over $59K.
12. FINANCIAL SECRETARY REPORT:
Christmas Cards,
Food Services and Christmas Trees and misc were received.

14. VOCATIONS
–
Br.
Restivo reported this week is National vocations week. Please suggest
to any interested youth that they contact the Diocese to attend some of
the meetings and activities they have to help such young men work
through the thought process.

effort in March. Looking forward to information from State Meeting.

Community Programs Report – January 3, 2005

*Programs activity:
4. Food Baskets – Successful holiday food baskets for Christmas – Thanks
to Mark Haaland and volunteers.
5. Food for Others –Still need two knights to volunteer for 2 hours one
Monday every four weeks.
10. Route 123 Cleanup – Next Date Jan 7, if name between H and O please
notify Dave Evans whether you will participate, if have not done so yet.
Inclement weather date is following Saturday, Jan 14. Thanks to phone
tree volunteers now calling members. If you can’t help on your appointed
day, then please volunteer for the other dates March 18th or
May 27th.
* Lamb Center for homeless In Fairfax County needs 60 chairs for heavy
use in a waiting area. Let Gene Molinelli know if have any suggestions
for obtaining such chairs at a discounted price or are willing to help
with this effort.
* Need for 2 more people to man phones for projects. Let Gene know if
you can be one of 20 knights to call 20 members to staff up different
projects.
* Consider further contributions for Gulf States Disaster Relief through
the Knights – originally an insurance organization for brother knights
and their families in crisis.

Mark Roddy spoke
about upcoming charity ball. Sit down diner this year with silent
auction,
Pete Garry reported
that we need to get better organized to publicize, send cards, and
organize visits to brothers in the hospital.

There was no
unfinished business.
17. NEW BUSINESS: -
Dan Cronin moved
$500 to pastor $250 to Father Paul and $100 to new priest (Fr. Delaney)
for Christmas. Seconded by Br. Cella. Br. Crowder moved that the $100
be increased to $250. Brother Lee seconded.
Amendment defeated.
Brother Roddy
amended to $500, $300 and $200. Seconded by Br. Romano.
Amended motion
passed.
18. DISTRICT DEPUTY REPORT:

4TH DEGREE:
Br. Lee reported on
color guard for Christmas midnight mass as requested by the Pastor.

PRAYERS WERE OFFERED FOR CONTINUED RECOVERY AND GOOD HEALTH FOR AILING
BROTHERS, WIVES AND FAMILIES. WE PRAY FOR THE POPE AND ALL PRIESTS AND
RELIGIOUS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, THAT THEY MAY BE REVITALIZED IN THEIR
MINISTRIES. PRAYERS FOR THOSE WHO LEAD AND SERVE IN THE MILITARY AT
HOME AND ABROAD. PRAYERS WERE OFFERED FOR THE SOULS OF DECEASED
BROTHERS, THEIR FAMILIES AND FOR MEMBERS OF BROTHERS’ FAMILIES..
